What are Session Channels?
Session Channels bring the same functionality of Topic Channels into each and every session in your agenda. Session Channels provide:
- A way to create structured engagement
- A way to make the app more useful while sessions are live - provide a way to meet/chat with attendees, and interact with speakers presentations
How do Session Channels work?
Session Channels can be found in the Session Details page of every session found in the Agenda section. The Channel tab can be found at the top of the Session Details page. When the Channel tab is selected, the user is brought into the Session Channel and is able to chat.
Live Q&A with Session Channels
Session Channels can be used to facilitate Live Q&A during a session. With this solution, attendees can quickly chat their questions to the Session Channel. A moderator would look through the questions and present the best questions to the speaker to answer. Utilizing Session Channels for your Live Q&A provides a great opportunity for your speakers to interact with attendees through the mobile app.
Note: any messages submitted to the Session Channel are unable to be deleted.
How do I enable Session Channels?
Session Channels requires assistance from Customer Support to enable. If you would like to enable Session Channels for your event, please reach out to Customer Support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note: with session channels enabled, the "Channel" tab will replace the "Activity" tab for sessions in the app.
