The General Event template is packed full of our suggested app sections, features and generic messaging to get your event content off to a jump start. In addition to the popular app sections (activity feed, agenda, bookmarks, attendees, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors); we’ve added a few key sections to increase engagement:
- Surveys*
- Polls*
- Event Details*
- Leaderboard
- Photo Feed
- Twitter Feed
*Denotes sections that need your review. We’ve created some content for you, but don’t forget to add content as it applies to your event!
Content to Note
The General Event template also includes pre-created push and promoted messages as well as engaging polls and generic feedback surveys. Update the dates and times of the messages, surveys, and polls to be live during your event. Add your own messages to build out and customize the communication plan within the app! Don’t forget to fill in all of the details about your event and the city where it’s located - make your app the one place for attendees to find everything they need about the event.
Gamification
Interested in gamifying the app? Great! Our best-utilized game within the app is the leaderboard challenge. We’ve pre-set point values to actions within the app; as attendees earn points, they’ll begin to appear on the leaderboard. If you want to incentivize it, create an Info View section called “Leaderboard Challenge” or a combination of a push and promoted message to let attendees know that the top attendees will be placed into a raffle at the end of the event.
Additional Recommendations
You can also choose to enable the most effective tools for networking, the Direct Messaging and Topic Channels sections. Ideas for Topic Channels include First Time Attendees, Regional Groups, Departments, Industry Trends or Run Club.
If you have exhibitors, you should talk to your Account Manager about enabling our self-service Exhibitor Dashboard and Lead Scanning to allow your exhibitors to use the tools that will help them make the most of their event.
