Q: Why won't it let me upload the map file?
A: Ensure you are trying to upload a file that is an appropriate size (between 1024 x 1024 and 4096 x 4096) and file type (.png or .jpg).
Q: Why won't it let me save my progress on the booth editor?
A: This can happen for several reasons:
- "Booth number is required" = Make sure every booth has a number filled out in the number field.
- "Duplicate exhibitor found in booth __ and __: ID _____, Name ______" = Make sure an exhibitor is not listed on more than one booth.
- "Dimensions for booth __ must be drawn within the allowed floor area" = The drawn booth spaces cannot be located outside of the visual map area.
- "Booth height/width must be greater than 0" = Booth height and width must be greater than 0 px.
Q: Why are my maps not working on Android devices?
A: Every Android app that we want to use the Google Maps API needs to be uploaded to the Google Maps API Console. Google Maps API Console has a hard limit of the number of packages that can be added. This limit is lower then the amount of apps DoubleDutch produces.
Every week on Tuesdays we run a report for events occurring in the next 35 days, plus all 365 apps. Every record returned that has a package name gets put in the maps console, along with all of the QA bundles. Therefore your Android map will also be enabled during that window.
